First, since the device updated to the new 1.0.0.1 update, the CB has not been able to recognize the remote anymore. The remote worked great before the update, then after the system update/reboot the remote started to act funny. After a few minutes of trying, I eventually got the remote to work again, but after I shut down the unit, and turn it back on, the remote becomes useless. Batteries are not the issue since I changed them and made sure using a camera that the remote is functioning. Could it be a corrupted firmware update? If so, How do I re-install the firmware?

My other issue is with the CB not liking the Linksys wireless router that I have set up. The CB has difficulty connecting to it, however, after going through the connection setup once through the setup menu, and it shows the error messege, pushing the setup button and returning to the setup menu seems to force it to connect. The other thing is that the CB does not remember the WPA key, and I have to input it each time I turn the device on. (I understand that this issue will be fixed in the next server release though)

While Playing back a movie with subs (defined them manually as external sub using the meta data scrren) the "I" (info) button on the remote does not work as expected.

In fact It seems that the subtitle button makes the "filename+time-bar" appear.

We are not all equal, some of us will want to keep everything organized on the PC and other not.

It would be nice, in some situatyion to make everything located in a directory and all its subdirs appear as a flat list.

Like being in the same directory. this way you can see everything organized from a fule system point of view but have it appear alltogheter on the TV Set.

Let's say you got:

Movie_A_CD1.avi; Movie_A_CD2.avi;. Who did the divx files decided to split the movie into 2 separate files for better quality.

I was used to the xbox Media Player which made the two files appears as 1 (with a dual disk icon or something like that). Playback did not stop at the end of the first file and the transition to the second file was automatic.

This would be very nice to have because once you got long file names you will hardly understand which is the first part and which the second.

Czoli - Update (5 Feb 2007). I had some time to check it out again and made it work on another PAL 15" 10 years old Sony TV set (that was affected too) noticed that to make it work I had to use one of the options on the High-Definition Menu. I wonder why that option is in the Hi-Def menu anyhow ..... maybe misplaced? If you want me too .. I can check which one I have used.

Got an SD Sony PAL 29 Inches TV set. The ClientWizard to adjust the TV Size does not let me fill up the screen complitely as I would like to.
The problem is that you can't change only the horizontal or vertical size.

The aspect ratio is just looked, which makes sense, but won't let me adjust it as I want. the result is that I end uop with small borders or need to overscan a bit and the Sbtitles will too (quite annoying)

Can't you improve that setting page please? not for GA/RTM Code ... a later maintenance one would be nice.

Are we going to see in the client RTM Code the volume level indication?

Gentlemen, had 1.20-15 Installed, every time I fire it up It asked me if I wanted to upgrade, always said Yes .... upgrade never happened.

Got 0.20-29 from the FTP site.

BTW now subtibles (external subtitle, munually assigned) works fine again ... It was crashing before

I am running the latest Server version, 1.0.0 Build 20. However every time I load the Server software I get a prompt that a new version of DivX Connected is available. If I tell it to upgrade nothing happens. Very strange.

Edit: I saw the known issue that auto update does not work in Vista Ultimate. I am running Vista Home Preimum, not Ultimate.

here I am...with another "critical" bug :) At least on my system its very critical.

So lets start:

I've got a couple of files that use the XviD 1.0.3 Codec without B-Frames.

Here is what gSpot says about the file:

As you see there are lots of predicted frames and not a single b-frame. I think the Connected box has problems finding the right entry-point because:

If you watch without rewinding or ff-warding it works just fine. But after you rewind and fast-forward or do some jumps (20% - 40% ect.) suddenly you see a "Connection to server lost" message and on top of that you've got a blue screen on your PC with this nice message:

I've ripped out a little part of the scene and I can reproduce error with it (Including the blue screen).

Fast forward till the opening-intro disappears...then rewind a bit and then fast forward again...repeat this 1-2 times and there you go --> Blue Screen. At least on my machine (nForce 2 Board, AMD Sempron, Windows XP SP2).

Only happens with this files (Series - 13 Episodes...all XviD 1.0.3 without b-frames and with lots of predicted frames). "Normal" XviD's (With B-frames) work fine (You can fast-forward or rewind the whole day ;) ).
