News From the World of DivX Connected

First thing first, DivX Labs has opened a new DivX Connected Community and everyone is invited to join. Just check the Groups Directory and subscribe. Inside, you can meet and discuss ideas and issues with other DivX Connected users as well as the DivX Connected Team here at DivX.

Also new (or semi-new anyway) is the DivX Connected Plug-in Section where you can browse and download plug-ins to add additional functionality to the DivX Connected platform. Most DivX Connected plug-ins let you access one or more video RSS feeds from the Internet on the TV, but they are not limited to video. For an example of another type of plug-in, check out the Google Maps plug-in. Tools to enable the community to create DivX Connected plug-ins are being worked on and will be available to everyone soon. Stay tuned.

And, last but not least, the DivX Connected Server 1.0.2 was recently released to address a few issues. An auto-update notification will follow soon.
