My DivX Converter worked beautifully with 6.5 on Vista Ultimate...but now that 7 is installed it cannot convert .AVI files. I keep getting the message "DivX Converter encountered a conversion error 60 while converting file (path/filename.avi).
For more information visit DivX Support! Well I've been here for over an hour an cannot find a thing about it! This is one of most unfriendly sites for support I've ever been on.
Have you tried contacting DivX support? They should be able to help you out with this.
Are you using the latest version of DivX Converter? Although Windows 7 isn't an officially supported OS for Converter 7.1 (it came out about five months before Windows 7 does) I haven't found any issues on my Windows 7 machines. Which version of Windows 7 are you running (RC, RTM, x64, etc)?
thank you wfrantz & LanPade, thanks for all your recommendations!
I plan to implement this week. Looks like these are all great tools, i hope they can really solve my problem. thanks again !
Most SWF videos are VP6 video with MP3 audio in a FLV container. Meanwhile, DivX files are typically MPEG-4 ASP with MP3 in an AVI.
The best conversion from VP6/MP3/FLV to ASP/MP3/AVI would be to transcode the video, copy the audio as-is and remux the streams into an AVI container.
You might want to try VirtualDub with the Flash video plug-in. That would allow you to use the DivX encoder.
Alternatively, you could try FFMPEG with the Xvid library. For example, the following command should do the trick:
ffmpeg -i SomeVideo.swf -vcodec libxvid -vtag DX50 -qscale 4 -acodec copy SomeVideo.aviFfmpeg can not process swf file for it extract only mp3 in the swf file.
Quicktime pro can convert swf to avi. But I think it cannot output divx avi.
Another powerful software Magic Swf2avi http://www.effectmatrix.com/swf2avi claims can do that.
well, i only use ffmpeg to convert flv as i didn't know it can convert swf as well, maybe i'll try your recommendation. Anyway, i always use iWisoft swf to avi converter to convert swf to avi format with divx/xvid encoder, it works well for me. i like the simple operation.
