DivX mobile not working on Windows Mobile professional 6.1
Hi,
I tried installing DivX mobile player on my Asus P835. The installation is successful, but when I run the program, the player hangs up. All other functions work fine, while I wait for DiVX player to start, but it never does. I even tried clearing all running programs, re-installled DivX mobile player to a different version, but it still dos not work.
I even tried installing to a different location (earlier I installed it to the storage card, then i installed it to internal memory, and then i installed it to the phone memory. Of coure before installing to a new location, I uninstalled from the old location, reset my fone, but still no luck.)
Anybody who can help me out on this?

As advised by Samsung, I downloaded the divx player on my omnia sgh-i900. Under setting, I entered device name, user and password. next I click register device, it asked if i want to connect to divx but when i tried to connect, connection failed.
I have also downloaded a movie from divx but when I tried to play it on touch player or window media player, there is only audio sound but no picture displayed. It simply shows unsupported video format. Can someone help me out !!
The Samsung Omnia i900 is DivX Mobile Certified to play DivX Mobile videos right out of the box. There is no need to install additional software. DivX Mobile Player is not necessary or recommended for the Samsung Omnia. See http://labs.divx.com/node/7140
DivX VOD Registration is only needed if you are using DivX VOD services such as http://filmfresh.com or http://warnervideolive.com. There is no need to register your Omnia if you are only playing DivX videos that you have made yourself. See http://labs.divx.com/node/8825
If you have a video that doesn't play, it probably is not a DivX Mobile video and you may need to convert it. See http://labs.divx.com/node/7774
I have tried installing the DMP on either device and memory card, and have the same result with the player not showing the video (or screen) and the audio is glitching.
Got it working now. Just have to use the Setup_PocketPC.exe from you pc to get it working even though it is still not as smooth as watching it in PC but manageable. Cannot use the CAB file directly. This would help a lot if instructions were given in the website.
If your videos aren't playing smoothly, see http://labs.divx.com/node/7774
Even I faced the same problem on ASUS P835.
Installation is successfull but it hangs while you open it.
We have not tested DMP using the Asus P835 although it should work.
You must install DMP to phone memory. It won't work installed on a memory card.
The P835 has a unique WVGA display that might be incompatible with DMP.
Has anybody else out there tried using the P835?
