DivX WebPlayer Preferences get overwritten every time...

Hi,
I´m new here and excuse my horrible english but i´m from germany...
I have the following problem:
All settings I do in the preferences window of the web player get overwritten every time the site load again. So I open a site with divx-player - do right click and Preferences. I want change Auto-Update to "Once per month" cause I use Win2000. Then do changes to cache parameters. I reload the site and Auto-Update is again on "once per session" and the cache parameters are as the were before my changes...
What can I do?
Did you tried to reinstall DivX Webplayer? And do you use firefox? There is a bug iirc that could be the source of the problem...
