Playback

If you successfully created a Mobile resolution video by using DivX Converter on the "Mobile" setting and you successfully transferred the video to your phone using a memory card or bluetooth, then you should be able to play it using DivX Mobile Player.

After you have the file on your phone, start DivX Mobile Player, go to the thumbnail browser, use the "refresh list" menu option and your new video should appear in the list.

If you try to open the video using some other application on the N95 then you may get odd error messages like "feature not supported". Start DMP first, then use DMP to open your video.

DMP

Glad to hear that DMP is working on your N72. DMP does not copy files so you would not use it to move videos from your inbox to your memory card. Look for a file manager type of application for your N72. Alternatively, get a card reader for your computer and just copy files directly to your memory card rather than sending them by Bluetooth.

Bad File?

Sounds like you have two problems. Regarding the "format not supported" errors, did you use DivX Converter to make the file? Does it play using DivX PC Player and/or DivX Mac Player?

I'm not clear what problem you've seen while browsing for files. It shouldn't matter how you transfer the files to your phone. It shouldn't matter what directory is used. It shouldn't matter if they are in the phone or on a memory card.

We do test DivX Mobile Player on the Nokia N80 and given a few more details, we'll try to reproduce your problem.

I am having the same problem

I am having the same problem on a T-Mobile Wing. Windows Mobile 6 Professional.

I downloaded the correct version of the software.

It plays the 2 demo videos that come with the installation.

I use the "mobile" version of the converter, and those files will NOT play.

They have a different icon than the files that come with the installation.
The installation files end in .avi
The converted files using DIVX Mobile Converter do not have an extension.

They do not show up when I move them into the correct folder (with the 2 demo files) and they give the error "Unsupported file type" when I click on them.

File extensions

> The converted files using DIVX Mobile Converter do not have an extension

DivX Converter should put a ".divx" extension on all your files. If you don't have a ".divx" or ".avi" file extension then DivX Mobile Player will not find them on your phone.

Try adding ".divx" to your files and then refresh the list again in DivX Mobile Player.

I meant to reply here, that

I meant to reply here, that the files WILL play on my PC DIVX player. Also, when I said "they do not show up" what I meant was, the DIVX application cannot see the files. They are visible in the folder on the phone.
