how do i update my tv dvd player divx codec?

hi, i have a certified divx dvd player, and I don't know how to update the codecs, can anybody help me?

region zero DVD not playable

I can't play region zero DVD on my Samsung Home Cinema. Any suggestions please? The shop DVD player was able to play it. I can play some of the DVD but not the concert clips.
