Need an additional auio decoder to play movie in DiVX....?

Hope that I am posting in the right place?

I tried to play a video that I downloaded from VeohTV and it has no sound.

Also I got a small window from DiVX Player:

Audio Format not supported.

You may need an additional audio decoder to play soundtrack of this file

This file contains a track in the Dolby AC3 Audio ( code "8192") format.

You may need to install a DirectShow decoder for this audio format in order to hear the soundtrack of this file.

OK.... where do I get this DirectShow decoder?

Help anyone? please?

I have the similar issue but different Audio codec.

My AVI file contains Microsoft enhanced multiple Channel Audio data ( 4 Channel). This file can be played with Windows Media Player + ffdshow. However, it can not be played by Divx Player.

The following is audio track in the AVI file.

waveFormatPCMex.Format.wFormatTag=WAVE_FORMAT_EXTENSILBLE; //0xFFFE

waveFormatPCMEx.Format.nChannels =4;

waveFormatPCMEx.Format.nSamplesPerSec= 8000;

waveFormatPCMEx.dwChannelMask = SPEAKER_FRONT_LEFT |

And the error messages " The file contains a track in a unknown format(code "4294967294") format. You may need to install a DirectShow decoder for this audio format in order to hear the sound track of this file".

Is possible to configure ffdshow to work with Divx player? Really appreciate it if anyone have the same experience.

Everytime I try to use DivX Converter 7, I get an "Unhandled Exception" and I don't know how to debug it with MS Visual Studio 2008. Can you help?

Use HandBrake

Use HandBrake - miles better! DivX Converter crashed for me in at least 90 per cent of encodes, usually near the end (after waiting over an hour - ludicrously annoying!)
