rescan on sub-directories
Hello,
I'd like to point out a very annoying problem I'm facing...
I have a large photo library that I store under a single "Photos" root directory (which I added in the connected software), and then many subdirs. Every time I add a new subdir, I can see it in the divx connected software, but to view its content I need to perform a directory rescan. But I can't refresh just the directory i added, it is only possible to rescan my whole library from the root directory ! In my case, it takes almost an hour every time...
Do you think you could turn on the refresh event on subdirs ? I did not tested so far but I guess it's the same with music & videos ?

A beta release of the DivX Connected server rev 1.1 is now available for download. This release should fix the problem as well as a numerous other issues:
Download DivX Connected Server 1.1.0-Build-08 here http://labs.divx.com/node/1483
If you are currently using a production version of the software, installing this beta version will result in future beta updates being issued as auto-updates as well.
Just to add to the rescan issue,
When I rename one subdirectory eg "Apocalypto 2005" ---> "Apocalypto 2006", the rescan picks up the 'new' directory but fails to see that the old one doesn't exist anymore. So following rescan, I get both "Apocalypto 2005" AND "Apocalypto 2006" listed in the database.
Until then, we are adding a feature to re-scan a directory from the TV.
In the mean time, I recommend adding your sub folders instead of the folder above, or temporarily segmenting the photo folders into smaller groups.
This will get far faster and better after the new database work is complete
