Hey,

I have installed the latest version of Divx Connected Server but have an error when I try to run the setup wizard. I get to the screen where it says "add your videos" and then I click next and I get an error message and the program crashes. The error message is:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Error

...and the application then terminates.

Any ideas?!

Thanks,

Matt

What OS are you using ? I've been having some problems with the Windows version of the software while running under Linux. I tried using Wine to emulate the windows software but I keep getting errors very similar to this one. I'm considering a Virtualization Security update but in the meanwhile I'm switching back to Windows just for the sake of the software.

You should download the other

You should download the other DIVX and install it again , the error 'll go out. The installer you are trying to use may be corrupted or incomplete. find dll files

Hi, I managed to get the

Hi,

I managed to get the program to load by just cancelling the setup wizard! But... the issue is that the whole of "my computer" is scanned under videos and when I remove that directory it just adds it back again automatically. This is really weird! Is it to do with folder permissions or something?

Also when I try and access the setup again it crashes in the same way as before.

Thanks

Never heard of an issue like this

Where did you get the version you are trying to install? From the CD? or did you download it. If you got it from a CD, then you might try downloading a newer version from here:

Unfortunately the setup

Unfortunately the setup won't get past the "add video" screen no matter what I do even if I add no folders.

I have not installed any previous versions of this software and the OS is XP home SP2.

Thanks

Did you download the installer from the internet?

Did you download the installer from the internet or get it from the CD? It may be a corrupt installer if you downloaded it. Can you download it again?

Try skipping that section and see if it installs

You can then add you videos after the installation. Not sure if this will work, but if it does, it get you going.

Can you tell what OS you are using? Have you installed previous versions OK?
