Connected Server Software for Mac OS X
Hi y'all-
I'm a mac user! I'm currently enjoing divx connetced by using Parallels Desktop and Win XP. So that works fine, but u always have to start paralles, that's really annoying me.
But there is a light at the end of the tunnel... maybe...Promotions from Divx say, that they already building the divx connected server software for mac os x.
I'm really excited to get the mac version, but when will it be? Is there a beta version maybe already available?
I would offer myself even as beta tester.
Thanks!
Torben
a mac and/or linux version would really be nice, since I'm more and more switchting to my mac os X and kubuntu. ;)
But there are lots of changes that have to be made before we can easitly port to other OS's. This is not something that I can give date for as to when we would even have a beta version. All I can say at this point is that we want to have it as well. I myself have MAC's at home and will only ever buy MAC's in the future for my home use. I have a PC laptop for work that I use for Connected at home.
When Is this going to happen, This post is almost a year old and still no word on when this is happening. Are there any beta builds that I could jump into?
Thanks,
Tim
Nothing new about linux support for connected server ? is it at least somewhere in the roadmap ?
Thanks
Max

Ok I'm going to try and get it working under wine. Not really ideal but I would really like to get this running so I can stop burning DVD's to watch in my living room. And since there is a Hulu plugin my wife is itching to get this working also.
I'll update on my progress as soon as i find out...
Thanks,
Tim
