Iomega ScreenPlay Pro DIVX player
I converted a movie to the MKV format, and it plays fine in the Windows DivX Player, although the volume level is quite low. However, after copying the file to my Iomega ScreenPlay Pro media server, the resident DIVX player doesn't recognize the MKV file. (Player successfully registered) Before I waste my time with Iomega support , thought I'd check here for ideas. Thanks for responding.

Though the tech specs of the Iomega ScreenPlay Pro claim that it can play videos "in mkv format", it's not actually certified by DivX to play them. This product is certified to play standard DivX files (DivX Home Theater certified), an it's not actually tested against our DivX Plus HD certification kit for h.264/aac/mkv. Unfortunately, this will have to be addressed with Iomega directly - I wish I could help!
Some ideas - what did you use to create the mkv file?
Try encoding the mkv file at a lower bitrate - it may help with the compatibility problem (although this may be unlikely since the drive fails to recognize the mkv file it in the first place)
