Hi,

I'm configuring a new PC so I was thinking about upgrading to
DIVX 7, too.

But there are some questions:

- Can DIVX 7 encode Videos (avi, h.263) like DIVX 6.8.5 ?!
I have some devices that only support DIVX/XVID (h.263) so I would like to keep that possibility...

- Can I still download DIVX Pro 6.8.5 somewhere in case DIVX 7 doesn't support "old" devices ?!

Best Regards

Dirk

DivX 7 is fully backward compatible

DivX 7 is fully backward compatible with DivX 6.8.5 is regards to files that it plays or creates and should work fine with your old devices as long as you use the correct output profile such as 'Home Theater". We do not provide a download link to older versions since they are no longer supported, but if you have any issues and you need to go back to your previous version you can contact support@divxcorp.com.
