Dr.DivX 1.0.6: Can't save output in Windows 7
Just recently upgraded to Windows 7 & now I can't use Dr.DivX 1 (Don't like 2).
My problem being that when I go to encode, whatever save location I choose, I get the message....
"The output folder '******' is read-only".
So far this is the only bit of software that I have encountered this problem with.
Any suggestions?
I had this problem as well. In Vista too. Unfortunately, I am also having problems in the XP mode of Win7. I don't get the read-only error, but instead it stalls at 99%.
This is, indeed, a Windows Vista/7 problem. Same happening here and can't find any solution.
By reading other forums, I've found users complaining about it too. For instance: "Seems that a nice collection of video encoding software is having the same problem. Running as admin should fix the problem but it doesn't." (http://www.broadbandreports.com/forum/remark,16894634).
On another forum, http://www.computing.net/answers/windows-vista/drivefolder-is-readyonly-error/298.html#postfp, the same, and so on...
I've written to Microsoft at the corresponding trouble page (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/326549/) and, hopefully, we might get a solution from them.
