Unfortunately it doesn't. It only supports H.264 i think :(
I've asked them to inlude VC-1 support so here's to hoping they implement it. I think they should at least inluce MPEG2, VC-1 and H.264 for video and MP3, AC3, AAC for audio since that's what Windows 7 has native decoders for. It wouldn't make sense to implement a MKV media foundation file reader but exclude some of the supported codecs from it.
