awsome absolutely awsome

Great work guys, i have just spend the last week with my friend(both of us you could call experts) trying to get vista media center to work with hardware acceleration for h264 it drove us totally nuts eventually we got it working but a hell of a lot of faffing about and without a lot of the functions we would have liked. Today i had decided to check out windows 7 and managed to get almost everything running in less than 3 hours, no messy codec packs no proprietry software no graph editing, pure genius.

there are a couple of things i would like to see in the future if it is at all possible some you are already working on like the subtitles and audio streams but there are a few others i dont know if you have considered.

1/refresh rate adjustment, it would be very cool if you could either have the refresh rate of the screen adjust to the refresh rate of the video file or a valid multiple if the screen doesnt support it(see media controls implementation) or at least allow a third party program to read the refresh rate and change the monitor to match

2/change between video streams, i have a few 3d movies that come in 2d and 3d video streams within the mkv container and would like to be able to switch between them.

3/fast forward and rewind - the 10 second skip function can be pretty annoyin is there any way you could implement a proper fast forward and rewind function such as the one used by media control in combination with ffdshow

once again, awseome work

I have to agree with

I have to agree with everyone this software is amazing, works very well and I can only imagine how better it will get with upcoming releases!!!

360

agree, thanks for this.. i can finally watch mkv's on my 360 which i've been trying to do since for ever because all the other methods i simply could not get to work

Ageed! I was toying with

Ageed! I was toying with PS3 Media server and the 360 before I stumbled on this. This does exactly what it says it does - and the video quality via WMC seems better IMO, I would love some DTS support but I understand the limitations. Keep up the good work... I cant wait until the next version.

well, i don't understand the limitations of no dts support, windows 7 can handle the audio passthru easily enuff(i am doing so with haali media splitter) the most difficult thing for them at this stage is getting a menu in media center to change the video stream, audio stream and subtitles.

I gotta say i am a little dissapointed that theres not been more progress made in quite a few months but i guess i will just have to use a combination of other products to get things working until the divx boys get back on track.

The div-x splitter definately has the potential to be the best splitter on the market but at present it doesnt really cut the cheese.
