Pixelation and Performance Issues

Hello all,

I would first off like to say that this MKV Divx thing is awesome.

I know it's still a preview but here's a listing of my problems.

I was able to play a 720p HD video streaming to my Xbox 360 without much trouble, some minor pixelation here and there. However, now I am trying to stream a 1080p movie over to the Xbox and I am constantly getting pixelation, image stopping and starting and a slew of other problems. The video never stops per say but it has real trouble playing it.

I can play the same video perfectly fine using the Media Center on the PC itself.

I have the Xbox and computer wired to a router directly, 1 Gbps on the PC and 100 Mbps on the Xbox. Network usage is about 15-20 Mbps while playing.

I have noticed that the parts where it is running fine, the ehshell process is only using about 40% of the one core it runs on (damn Media Center won't run multithreaded) but when it starts to get pixelated, the CPU usage jumps to 100% on that one core and stays there.

I do have a QX9650 CPU overclocked to 3.6 Ghz and this movie is just tearing it to pieces when I play it on the media center extender on the xbox.

Again, works fine locally on the MCE on the windows 7 x64 machine I have.

Was hoping someone might be able to offer some help or perhaps this can be taken down as a problem to be corrected at some point. Maybe there is some way to make the buffering more efficient on the CPU.

I've also uploaded my dxdiag and CPU-Z info for review.

Silly me... I read a previous post saying to enable flow control on my NIC... I did that and the 1080p movie seems to be playing normally now and CPU usage has reduced to almost nothing while playing.

Thanks to the guy who suggested that!
