DSM-330 - HD videos freeze off and on during playback
I know there are lots of posts on this but I am fairly new to this and need some help. I have the DSM-330 wired to my router and through HDMI to TV. When I play HD videos, the reason I purchased this on the TV, it tends to freeze from time to time during playback. I've even seen it a couple of times with my daughters movies which are not HD. Extremely annoying and want to figure it out. When I play the movies on my computer there doesn't seem to be the same problem but I haven't watched one from start to finish. Any suggestions? I am pretty sure my computer should be able to handle this but I don't know if I need a better video card or something.

Had my dsm-330 a year now and these are the problems you will suffer from im afraid, skipping sometimes is usually caused by background programmes/ programmes or network issues.
can be any number of things, make sure your graphics card driver is up to date and nothing else is running, sometimes uninstalling the divx connected software helps, sometimes it doesnt, 9 times out of 10 when i get skipping its due to network interference, it take a relativley small amount of bandwith to stream standard definition files and i usually have no problem when using it alongside downloading newsbins at 8mbps but sometimes i do, right now i run perfectly but only after a year of trial and error and sticking with it.
from my experience i would say that the issues are always caused by your pc/laptop or your router.
Anyone having any problems with Windows 7? Video freezes every 2 seconds audio is fine. Worked before on Windows XP. Was on a wireless connection switched to wired still doing same thing. Updated Video card driver but still no luck freezes keeps happening.
You don't mention whether your router is wired or wireless...
If you are using a wireless router to stream the movies from your PC then I would assume your problem lies therein.
