Hi, i have a .mkv which i would like to convert to divx file in order for it to be played on my phone. However, when i converted it with the divx converter 7, the subtitles is not there. I tried going to the media options but it states there is no subtitle track found. The subtitles are in the mkv file itself n does not have any .asa or srt files for it. the movie i have is a foreign movie without the subs i dun understand anything. Is there any way to fix it?

I'm having the same problem,

I'm having the same problem, both for MKV files, and AVI files. The DivX Converter, not recognizing that my subtitle files, which are in. SRT, are in the same folder with the same name as the video file, and the program is acknowledging the caption.

A few options

Hey Guys,
There are a couple of options you may want to try. One is the DivXMuxWiz which will..."Mux" in your .srt file to your video. Here is the download link for that: http://labs.divx.com/files/support/setupDivXMuxWizz.exe
The next is to try out the new DivX Plus Converter (It comes with a 15 day trial period).

Trying out the DivX Plus

Trying out the DivX Plus converter right now, it does not seem to be able to detect ssa subtitles embedded in a MKV video file, therefore when the video is converted to DivX it is missing the subtitles. The DivX Plus player and VLC player will detect and play the subtitles of the MKV file

I have the same problem

I have the same problem using Divx plus Converter 8. Does not reconize the sub titles which i believe are "S_TEXT/ASS".

Infact it does not reconize any of my subtitles in any of my MKV files.
