Hello,

when trying to start the application EZ-DicomCDViewer
(used to view high-quality medical images)
the following error happens:
Couldn't find library MSVCP80.dll (required by c:\windows\system32\dpl100.dll)

The problem happens only when DivX 7 for Windows is installed;
the error does not occur when DivX 7 is not installed
or there is a previous version (DivX 6.8.5).

The operating system is Windows XP SP3.

Regards,
Stefano

system32.dll

Along with this dll problem, are you seeing a system32.dll process on your system? Such kind of file installs on computers, alters and creates various registry entries, and does other nasty things on your computer. In short, system32.dll is a virus that you need to get rid off your system. I was thinking that the harmful file must be present in your system, removing or altering library MSVCP80.dll that's why EZ-DicomCDViewer simply couldn't find it. Therefore you should take measures to remove the culprit.

I find it hard to see why

I find it hard to see why DivX would have some sort of interference with this program. From the error and your description, it seems that you need to install Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime. I am running out of a limb here but I see that your problem is caused by something else, not of DivX.

Same Problem

I had the same problem - EZDicom CD Reader would throw the same error when started. I uninstalled DivX and EZDicom CD Reader then worked.
