LG LH30 TV - DivX Enable *HELP*
Hi,
I just bought a LG LH30 LCD TV with DivX enable. I tried to register the product, but the TV is using DivX 6.0 and we are currently on DivX 7.0. The registration file is not being supported by the TV. Also, it is not able to play *.mkv files.
What can I do? Is there a firmware upgrade I apply or something? If so, how do i upgrade it?
Thanks,
TitoValle

Make sure you include the make, model and VOD code in the form as well as the email you are using to register with. This may just be a false negative error message. We have seen this before and many times the device ends up being successfully registered. We will be able to send you a test VOD file to try with and see if that works.

"Hi Lemur,
Thanks for the reply. My TV does not support the DivX registration file as it does not support it. It says not supported type after I run the registration process and the Divx file is created to register in the TV. I guess I should say bye to the Idea of *.mkv files however I would like to at least be able to register DivX :) Is that because of DivX versions?
thanks"
DivX certified devices have either an 8 or 10 digit VOD code in their onscreen menu somewhere. You will use that code and the DivX player on your PC to register the device for DivX VOD playback.
Please check out this FAQ on how to register your DivX Certified Device with the DivX Player:
It looks like your device is certified for our home theatre profile. This does not include DivX Plus HD .mkv playback.
If you are still having problems you can submit your question/issue to the support team here at DivX using this certified device question form for further assistance:
