HI,

i haven't been able to make working my divx box (dsm-330) in a stable way, i mean, after a while my divx box cannot reconnect, the only work around is to reboot my computer... i have try everything...

changing computer
remover sleep mode for my computer and my NIC
try with windows XP, VISTA and even Windows 7
try wifi
try with rj45 wire...

Nothing work after a couple of minutes/hours, my dsm-330 simply can't reconnect ! it said : cannot find divx software !!! my divx software is still running !

SO my question is, when a new divx software and firmware will be release (i have the lastest firmware and software)?

thanks
Domenic

AV Software

Hi.

I was referring to Anti Virus software. This was suggested to me and it appeared to work. However, it could have been coincidence.

My problems were caused by another computer on the network having the same IP address

I used Look@Lan to sort out my network problems

It has been replaced by a new product but is still available at
http://lookatlan.com/oldindex.html

New soft/firmware

The product has been discontinued - DivX appear to have given up with this forum as well

I used to have a similar problem and I eventually solved it by giving it a fixed IP address

Also as an experiment try running it with the AV software on the server disabled

i already use a fixed IP

HI,

i already use a fixed IP address since the beginning... never try with a dynamic adress because my router isnt configured like that...

i don ' t think this is a network problem but more a divx software issue...

by AV software you mean the divx pc client (before it was sdk client software ) ?

i will try anyway...

thanks, and im very disappointed... im looking now for the popcorn hour box...

thanks
Domenic
