WMP can't play files at all
I installed DivX for Windows 7 which includes the MKV Preview. However, when I try to play an MKV file I get a generic error "Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file."
It takes me to this error page: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/C00D11B1
I installed AC3Filter and it still doesn't work. I am using Win7 Professional 64 bit.

I have no experience in 64bit win 7 but, did you install ac3filter full ? heard of some who installed ac3filter lite and it didnt work.
