Subtitle with avi
How can i load subtitle to avi file? Anybody? Javascript or param name example.
You could also remux your whole DivX file into an MKV using mkvmerge GUI and add in the subtitles then. It is a pretty easy drag-n-drop process, and the the structure of an MKV is much better for streaming than AVI.
It is not possible to add subtitles to an avi container...
Please use MKV for preferred container
e.g Pure AVI Video Files
with .divx you can use avi as container in divx video files
Dear Sascha

You can actually mux in subtitles into a .divx file using an AVI and an SRT as your sources with DivXMuxGUI:
http://labs.divx.com/DivXMuxGUI
Once you install/open DivXMuxGUI, you can use "Standard Mode".
Select your AVI video track, also be sure to add the same AVI as the audio track (or you won't have sound), and then select your SRT subtitle(s).
Then click NEXT at the bottom, and proceed to the job queue, and then the FINISH button.
Then press the START MUXING button and it should make you a new file with the subtitles already inside.
Then, when you load the file in DivX Plus Web Player, you can choose to turn the subtitles on/off from there.
