Divx Web Player connecting problem.
Hey. I love divx web player and it's been working great for a long time but after I updated it I got a problem.

As you can see in the top-right corner, Download Start.
Before I could see the downloading rate, size and I could watch while I was streaming. Now I can't watch at all.
Hope someone knows how to fix this.

I had the same problem that u did. I tried everything just short of re-installing an operating system. Divx.com is no help because they have not addressed the problem yet or haven't acknowledged it.
If your computer is free of virus or adware then use the System Restore back to a previous date prior to adding divx update & that should do the trick. It worked for me. Once restored, just decline the update from now on.

We are looking at the issue. If you want to roll back to DWP 1.5 there is no need to do a system restore. Just close all your browser windows, uninstall the DivX Plus Web Player using the links on your Start Menu, then follow the links in the sticky thread at the top of this forum to find the older installer.
The DivX Plus Web Player 2.0 actually wants to buffer more up front rather than interrupt the movie later, and this is causing problems for files that are hosted on lower bandwidth services. If you want to use DivX Web Player 1.5, which buffers less up front and seems to work better with some of the megaupload/rapidshare implementations, we've posted the links here:

Just uninstall the latest player first, and then use the 1.5 installer.
There should be no need for system restore, but if you're having trouble uninstalling, let us know.
