New DivX player problems

It seems like I can't watch any movie all the way thru without encountering some problems with buffering during the play back.
And on some occasions, the movie will play just fine for ahwile, and then suddenly it just stops, and starts buffering again every 5 or so seconds.

I've only had these buffering problems after I was prompted to download the new updated DivX player. I'm using Windows XP..would that make a difference? I've been watching movies on DivX for several months now without any interuptions or glitches, anyone know what's going on?

so called upgrade should be called a downgrade.still using xphome,nothing has changed on my pc since divx 6 worked fine,divx pro 7 player worked fine but converter would not convirt files to divx,now divx plus 8.01 player and converter dont work, just crash and send error reports to ms.Why keep auto-updateing before you get the majority of the bugs out.divx was the best now its the worst.
