Hi
I am trying to play a video with a subtitle in Arabic Language.
And it keeps appearing in strange letters.
I read this post
and I saved in UTF-8 format, but then when I try to play the file ,DivX Player tells me that "the file .... does not contain a recognizable subtitle format and will not be displayed"
what can I do about that ?

English subtitle problems

Ok i have dl some anime that is in the japanese lang. When i play the anime one it seems to speed up the anime and is all out of sync with the jap. lang. when i right click and go into english subs it freezes up.

so i skipped it and went on to number 2. it was the same but the jap lang and lip movment was fine. When i put on the english sub it freezes. They are both mkv format. Im running xp home with all the updates. Was there an update to the divx player that i didnt get?

No Subtitles

Hi,

I'm trying to play a movie that has japanese subtitles and though both files are named EXACTLY the same and the .srt file is in UTF-8 format, it still gives me an error message......"does not contain a recognizable subtitle format and will not be displayed."

Any ideas?

Ps. I've uploaded the file to your FTP for review. (letters from iwo jima.srt)

Share the Subs

Do you mind sharing a link to the subtitles, and we can see if we can replicate the issue?
