there is a movie showing in the download manager. it can not download,
I can not remove it, etc.

right click options are greyed out etc.

I have completely uninstalled the program and cleared the registry of every instance of divx.

when I start to reinstall , it sees that movie that did not download and tells me that it will be lost if I continue.

this would be a good thing, so I accept it and continue.
however, it is not lost and automatically shows up in the download manager.
there are several functions that I can not do because it is showing up there.

where is this record kept if not in the files and not in the registry?

how do I clear this from the download list if the function is greyed out?

thanks,

robert

Fail your download and then remove it

1.)first disable your internet connection connection.
you can do it in this way.
Control panel-->Network connections-->right click on network icon-->select disable.

2.)open your divX player and resume your download.(then it will fail to download)

3.)Now you will be able to remove your failed download.

4.)Enable your internet connection as in the first step.

I have tried that several

oops

DivX Movies Folder

Is there anything in your DivX Movies folder, inside the Temporary Downloaded Files folder? Maybe try emptying that directory... in the meantime, I'll see if I can find out anything else, but give that a try.

I have tried that several

I have tried that several times. I have completely removed all traces of divx from my computer. I have run a registry scan and removed all traces from there as well.
Well, apparently I have not, because it keeps showing up no matter how many times I uninstall etc.

right now I am trying to figure out how to uninstall the firefox addon for divx. there doesn't seem to be any way to do that either.

thanks
robert
