I was to download 2 movies but it said I needed to install Divx OVS (better suited to be named POS). After that I get an error "Divx Player.exe - Entry Point Not Found" with a bunch of characters after ending with "could not be located in the dynamic link library QtCore4.dll.

I did the usual circle jerk of reinstalling crap.

DivX OVS installer destroys previous version in VISTA Starter Ed

I had the same problem. First, "Entry Point Not Found" with a bunch of characters after ending with "could not be located in the dynamic link library QtCore4.dll. Next, it says DIVX Launcher error "Missing divxmain DLL: C:/.../Divx Player.dll.
I did the reinstall cicle but I´ve got on a loop with this.
Please helpe me!

A new Player

DivX has a new player out that should fix your problems. You can download it from here and let me know if you keep running into issues:

New version-same

New version-same result.
Does any developer actually test these installers in W7x64?

New Player has the same problem

I´ve removed the old version, downloaded the new one, but it still has the same problem. I don´t know what to do. I just want to play some Divx files on my DVD Player, but I'm not able to register and burn the VOD DVD to allow the hardware to play.

I guess you just stay away

I guess you just stay away from Divx until they figure out how to create working installers for W7x64.

Also uninstalling doesn't work very well either.
