I just installed the divx plus software (looks great but haven't got a chance to use it yet) and I noticed that the divx converter plus did not install over divx converter 7. It did install though. Now I have converter 7 and converter plus installed. The divx player plus installed over the old divx player, so I thought the same thing should have occurred with the converters. Is this normal? Should I just uninstall the previous version of divx converter?

Can we get more details?

Were you using the DivX To Go feature of the Player or were you using DivX Converter?

Can you see the file on the disc when you put it in the computer? Is the disc readable?

Do you know the original file type?

Can you try converting the file again to your hard disk using converter and see if the file can play on your PC?

This is normal. We wanted

This is normal. We wanted people who owned DivX 7 Converter to be able to install the new DivX Plus Converter and try it out without losing the functionality of their paid DivX 7 Converter software. You can have both versions installed without issue.

Since the DivX Plus Player is free it simply replaced your DivX 7 Player.

Hope this helps!
