I think this is what he suggests in the video

The user says that he fixed a freeze issue for DivX Plus Player running in Windows 7 as follows:

He changed a compatibility setting by right clicking on DivX Plus Player and selecting Properties->Compatibility->Change to “Windows XP (Service Pack2)”, check "Disable visual themes", check "Run this program as administrator".

I have not seen or heard from anyone else about this issue or the effectiveness of this fix, but thought I would share what the video shows.

Divx 8 player not responding in vista

The above fix worked for me on windows vista after downloading divx pro 8 the player would constantly hang and it would be impossible to do anything, with a message that the player had stopped responding.
Definately worth giving it a shot if you have the same problem I had, plus it took ages to find this fix. Hope it helps.
