1080p .mkv with Xbox 360 streaming from Windows 7 64bit
I have spent almost a year trying to figure this out and reading these forums and several other forums... I been trying to get 1080p movies to play without stutters and I cant figure it out... Iv tried a million codec combinations i have tried converting dts to ac3 with popcorn audio converter...
Can anyone shed some light on this issue? Im trying to play scene release 1080p movies... I use media info and the movies that stutter dont show any difference with the ones that dont stutter and work fine??? Im ripping my hair out on this i just wanna be able to watch 1080p movies on my 360!!
None of my movies have over 5 reference frames.... Most are dts half of them work fine and i convert the other ones that arnt dts and they still stutter??? It happeneds randomly thruout the movie it will just chop up and pause for 10 seconds then skip frames n stutter... and a rare select set of movies show no picture and just sound and i see know significant difference between the working .mkv's and the non working .mkvs using MediaInfo...
Most my movies work using Divx codec with Ac3filter i am getting the best results... Still half my movies wont play can anyone either share there experience or what they have found to work??? Im going to freak out =/
What can I do to fix this???

I have the same exact setup
I have the same exact setup as you. You can't stream 1080p movies over a wireless connection because there's not enough data going to and from. I'm using a wired gigabit connection from my comp to the router and then to the 360. Works rather well and everything runs smooth.
To check your MKVs, download a program called MKVMerge GUI. You can load your MKVs in it and keep the audio streams and/or subtitles that you want and get rid of the rest. The 360 will only play the first audio track and forced subs no matter what.
Hope this helps!
