Slow encoding..

It does not matter what VOB file or files I use or what encoding method I use its still slower than a snail..is the program only single threaded or something?

It should NOT be so slow on a 6-core system..

I can use AnyVideo Converter Pro for most files, 2000 video bitrate mpeg4,96 audio bitrate Mp3 and set the program on 8 threads and its done in 7-30min...

The DivX plus converter takes HOURS...

System Specs:
Phenom 2 X6 1090T @3.6ghz(all 6-cores active,with software turbo mode)
890FX/SB850 motherboard(exact brand/type can be provided if needed)
8gigs DDR3 1600ram
HD5870
2X 60gig OCZ_Agility series SSD's in RAID0
1 30gig OCZ_CORE series SSD on a RAID controller
1 Seagate barracuda 160gig Hard Disk Drive on a RAID controller
Windows7 64bit Ultimate

REALLY SLOW ENCODING

Its practically going BACKWARDS, it's taken 7 1/2 hours to convert a video thats 1 hour 8 minutes.
COME ON GUYS, WHATS GOING ON.

Gearbox?

Well, I'm looking for people who want to test an encoder I'm writing.

It was called, DivX MD but is now called Gearbox Video Encoder. I'm looking for performance testing to see how well my program encodes on various systems. It uses ffmpeg so the multithreading should be pretty decent.

Everybodys suffering

It seems like its the software and its incompatability with the system hardware. Its not 100% on mine either, it flies through to about 15% and then just grinds to a snails pace.
