New DivX Mobile Player 1.0
Hello DivX Mobile Player users,
We have been listening to your requests to create a version of DivX Mobile Player for Symbian 5th edition phones. Today, we released DivX Mobile Player 1.0. It targets Symbian S60 3rd and 5th edition phones.
The 1.0 release has numerous updates and simplifications to the UI. The main new feature is touch-screen support for you Symbian 5th edition users.
Playback performance in 1.0 may or may not be as good on Symbian as it was in version 0.94. We still have version 0.94 available for UIQ 3.0, Windows Mobile 5 and 6 devices. Version 0.94 is also still available for Symbian 3rd edition phones.

i got se vivaz pro (u8i)
with s60v5 symbian, it's well playback om mpeg4 with good quality (@1200kbps), but dmp cant even play autoinstalled demo.. tried both on memory phone and memory card class6, lots of frame drops and sound with spikes...
Thats really sad, that no one's alternative player can play well...
maybe its becouse vivaz get 200mhz low speed clock on desktop or powersgx graphic... i dunno
but that really sad =(
can u fix it somehow?
or someone know how to play .avi divx - videofiles on this phone?

I have uninstalll the old version. i have installed the new 1.01 version.
I still get 'expired' message. my phone is nokia n96.
Old version work great.
?? Their must be a flag / certificate file that is stuck on my phone.
?? What can i do / look for to fix this. Pleeeeaaasssee help

Kindly follow my instructions precisely and ur Divx Player will work again
1) download divx player but dnt install it yet.(if u have it already,uninstall it)
2) remove ur memory card.
3) format ur phone using dis short code *#7370#.
4) insert ur memory card.
5) install all ur applications and games EXCEPT Divx Mobile Player.
6) change ur date bck one month i.e change from 18/04/2011 to 18/03/2011.
7) now u can install divx mobile player.
8) watch ur movies without any problem
9) change the date bck to the current date when u exit divx for normal phone functionality.
10) DONT EVER OPEN DIVX MOBILE PLAYER WITHOUT REVERSING OR CHANGING THE DATE FIRST! That will result in starting this process all over again.try it now fellas
change date is not a good way.
I think we need who will hack Divx for everyone can use :D

hey Alex can u plz temme how to change the date of divx.
You have to change the date of your phone to march or april 2007,after you have instaled this version of divx: DivXPlayer_S60_3rd.sisx.After intalation go to settings and change the date of your phone.Only after that your divx will be expiered no more.;-))
DivXPlayer_S60_3rd.sisx.This what you have to found.Please download it and install,than change the the date to April 2007(it is tested by me on Nokia E61).The only inconvenient is that you must do this everytime you want to watch for a movie,but the player is not expiered anymore.If you will change to the current date,your player will show that is expiered.I'm waitting for your comments;_)Good luck!
It is frustrating that you DivX lab guys are not replying to any of the problems faced by your users. I also own a Nokia N95 8GB. At night I watch a movie and the very next day when I open the player it is expired!!!! I downloaded 7 times and tried installing it, but it still sucks..

The latest version of divxplayer versio-1.00(609) is instaled on my Nokia N95 8GB
(phone memory). but i still get the message " player expired, A new version is available.... get the letest version" is there an upgrade after v1.00 ?

I need the New Version 1.0 for Windows Mobile OS, appears that expire my version 0.94 and I can´t see my movies. If you don´t support the Windows Mobile just delete or remove the sign of update to use my player in the version 0.94.

Hi, a new version not working, argues that it is outdated. Downloaded a couple of times and still get the same crap. Nokia N95.

I am using DIVX player 0.94 for 1 and half month. But now it is showing expired since 31-03-2011. I had download the new version 1 in my E71. It is showing the same message and not running in my phone. So plz help me out for this problem. How can I use Version 1 in my phone?

The prompt asks to install the latest version from mobile.divx.com but as far as I know this is the latest version. When will the newer version come out?

i am using nokia 5233 and have really liked divx for so long bt it seems there is nothing better than smartmovie.
It was going good until its showin player expired and a new version is available.
Bt i combed up the net along with its offical website only to find out dat i have being fooled on april 1st.

I've been thrilled with watching DivX movies on my X6 since I downloaded the app several months ago. Today, when I tried to watch a movie I transferred from my PC yesterday, I got the version expired message and that an update was available.
Having then successfully downloaded the new version, I was devastated to discover that I got the same "Player expired! A new version of the player is available..." message box, despite already having just installed the update.
Needless to say, I'm not a happy bunny - like a few others it seems!
Your prompt response and suggested solution would be greatly appreciated.

Does this forum etc sill exist? downloaded the mobile player to try installs on Nokia OK but when started says player expired ?

It depends on where you downloaded DivX Mobile Player from. The official page is http://labs.divx.com/MobileDownload, but many other sites host older (expired) versions of our player. Before installing, please verify that the current date is set correctly on your phone.
I downloaded version 1.00 from this website several times but it still says outdated. I am using a nokia e63 and my clock is set to the now current date of April 5th 2011.
