Audio not working

I've downloaded some a season of a TV series. The video, but the sound is all screwed up and and stuff.

I had a AC3 Audio Codec (code 8192) error....said I needed a direct show codec.

downloaded the full version, AC3 filter 1.62 full...worked perfectly. hope this helps : )

Trying to play a MKV movie, a messagepops out saying I need a Direct Show decoder for the audio.

Can somebody orient me

We need more information about the file with the issue. Please run the file thru a program called mediainfo from the link below and post the results.

Most likely the file is using an audio format not supported or the file is corrupted or has other issues.
