Theme Preview Tool (HTML)

5 replies [Last post]

Attached is an HTML tool I made that lets me quickly see what a Connected theme might look like. TRUE, you could use the pc-DCMP included with the SDK, but sometimes, I just want to drop images in a folder and click refresh (much like webdev, right?). This tool also allows me to work on themes while I'm on a Mac (should work with Linux, too).

It's nothing really fancy... open 01_Open_Me.html with Firefox and click on the preview link. The preview should open in a new window.

When you're ready to package your theme for server 1.2, check out this discussion.

Happy designing!!!!

Added list of Assets

I've attached a PDF which has a list of most of the assets and their default variable names; you'll want to think about which ones to replace when designing your theme:

Nice, i've been in need of this since like...

The beggining of Connected beta, i had to stick with DCMP, which is kinda slower.

Yeah, me too...

I actually made a cruder version of this back in the beta, because it was such a pain to pack (JAR) everything up before I could see what it looked like. Most people can use photoshop and layers, I guess, but I don't have photoshop on all my computers, and this actually previews the images that you will be using in the theme. When's the next version of SLEEK ;-) ?

IDK, i've been kinda

IDK, i've been kinda neglecting it because there is like 2 people using it, and I'm lazy.. I will probably continue on, but we have to wait until the next release with the new theme system.

SLEEK

My girl uses your theme... she likes it better than mine!!!
