Hi Guys,

This may sound silly but If I encode a video file on a Windows PC using DivX 6.8 can I still watch it on a Mac OS computer that has divX 6.7 codec installed on it??

Your answers much appreciated!

Thanks,

JP

Hi Joe, the answer is yes.

Hi Joe, the answer is yes.

The version numbers of the codecs relate to when specific features are added for each platform. The current version numbers don't always line up with each other but the video encoded on one OS always plays back on any other.
