Error 88 in DivX plus Conveter

It is good practice to include explanations of error messages so that these are 'thrown' at the time of generation, if the answer is known.
Another good practice is to answer such an error at least once on a forum.
Third good practice is to make a collection of resolutions to known errors and publish them, irrelevant where - at least on a closed user forum (which is worst case scenario, but still a resolution).
However (and I consider it a permanent failure, because I see these errors over and over again) it seems that all this silence is part of the plan to get rid of us, paid customers. Nobody answers with resolution, nobody makes a collection of known errors, explaining what code corresponds to what situation.
