How do I see the files I add?
Perhaps this is a silly question, but here goes.
I tried to download some divx content from stage6, and added it to my phones memory card in the videos/divxplayer folder. I can see the two test avi's in the folder.
But it doesn't show up when I start the player. The help tells me to scan the phone, but the only scan I can find is the one for the music player (its a nokia N73 ME), and it doesn't add the avi files.
How do I add the files so the player can find them?
If I just use the filebrowser on my phone I can find the avi files, but it doesn't recognize them, I can only start the test files from within the divxplayer, so I need the divxplayer to recognize the files I add to the phone.

I have a HTC pro and I installed DivX player (PPC). And I can see the demo files, but I do not see the 'Browse files' item in the menu the thing closest to it is 'Refresh List' but it keeps coming up with the same 2 demo files.
DivX Mobile Player will only list .avi and .divx files. Do your file names end in .avi or .divx?
No it is an .mpg. Now it is clear why it does not show up in the list
And still the rescan finds nothing
What to do?
Thanks for your help.
I felt rather stupid not finding the "rescan file system" on my own.
DivX Mobile Player will find .avi and .divx files anywhere on your device. You don't have to put them in any particular folder (such as "videos/divxplayer"). However, you do have to manually prod DMP to look for new files. Start by selecting "Menu" then "Browse files" then "Menu" then "Rescan file system". After that your new files should appear in the file browser.
Unfortunately this is a manual process because checking for new files every time makes the player unbearably slow (except on Palm Garnet OS).
