I tried the 1.40 b1 web player and I see a definite stability improvement over 1.3.0 and 1.3.1, but it still is giving me lots of problems.

I was watching movies at Stage6 today and a message came up in the window saying I needed to update the DivX web player after doing this whenever I try to watch any movies my browser crashes. I'm posting here because this is being posted in the DivX forum with no solution as yet so I'm wondering if maybe the problem is a compatibility between the Firefox browser and the DivX player. I don't get any error message with the crash it just shuts down on me.

Like the new webplayer, but the list of bugs could at least have included that its now Vista friendly and won't drop the UI back to basic when viewing videos (even though the installer still says it will).

Did notice what could be one minor bug, a download stalled but the player continued playing well after the end of the progress bar.

You guys have came a long, long way. The project is not dead at all, keep it alive, keep progressing and make all of our dreams come true... as well as your own of course =p. I've been using the web-player on my websites for quite some time now and i think it's the greatest media-piece to ever be developed, keep it up - please!

Okay I have similar problems to that of Megamans, but some are worse.
When I got the b2(I think) it totally ruined Stage 6 entirely. It wont load anything anymore and says stuff like 'Media has been removed from site' right after I watched some before I got b2.
I need some serious help here because if it keeps 'working' like this I'm gonna delete it. It's a waste of space at this rate.
Any helpers out there?

I tried the 1.40 b1 web player and I see a definite stability improvement over 1.3.0 and 1.3.1, but it still is giving me lots of problems.
My issues/comments/questions are below

• When I run my 35 minute video I uploaded to STAGE 6, it works great. I notice that STAGE 6 used my Windows Divx Player, not my Divx Web Player to play it. http://stage6.divx.com/user/jolo/video/1292868/My-Lennon
• When I run the video from the Divx Web Player 1.40 b1, the stability is improved over the last version, but I still get a lot of "de-pixalization" and also, my screen went blank after a few short, sometimes choppy minutes. I could right click and click on "Play", on the blank screen, then it started again from the beginning. I started running the video in the default size, then went to full screen, which is why my entire screen went blank.
• The 35 minute video that I was using is on STAGE 6 in at the URL listed above. You can also find it on my web site at http://www.tempcosolutions.com/video/lennon/lennonvsus_1.divx
• The little web page that I created to launch the video using the Web Player can be found here :
  http://www.tempcosolutions.com/embed_divx/lennon_1.htm. I made the page rather lean because I am waiting for the Web Player to be stable enough for my customers and friends to use.
• When I used the "Divx Web Player Code Generator, I noticed that inserted was the following
  param name="custommode" value="Stage6" /. I took that code out, just to see if it made a difference. Could you tell me about the "Stage6" parameter ? What does it do ?

I am using Foxpro 2.0.0.4 to do the Web Player testing. Of course others who use it might have the bad fortune of using Windoz Internet Exploder :-).
I HATE to feel that I am whining, but I have used the Web Player successfully in the past and think it is the best player there is in Internet land, especially with how it worked with being blazing fast with the background streaming. I can't wait to have it back.
Anything I can do to test it, or feed information to you, PLEASE let me know. I have had to ask my friends/customers to stop using it until I give them the okay. It has been quite a while.

I just downloaded the beta for the Divx Web Player and will test it and hopefully, it will allowmyself and my user community to use it again !!

I do have a question:
What changes have been made to the developers and user dialogs so that I can use take advantage of the Web Player changes ?
