I too have Vista, and am trying to find a DivX codex Vista friendly. The "Beta" is evidently an "old version", however, I cannot find a "new" version. There was a link on one of the posts, however, that link is dead.
hi guys,
I too have a VISTA OS........... i tried using all the new versions of Divx but all of them failed. But when i tried using the Divx Web Player 1.3.1 it worked perfectly. I have no problem since. (But make sure u download the file to ur hard disc and then disconnect from the internet when u run the installation)........... GOOD LUCK..... reply if u find this working..........
hi, just got a new notebook with vista basic(BIG mistake as it is horribly slow and error filled). but what i want is to figure out to play web based divx, as in streaming divx, on vista. i have the new beta codec and the virtual dub(which is garbage btw) and i cant play divx online. can anyone help, is it even possible to
thank you
I would like to know success anyone has had with Divx Videos that have been loaded OUTSIDE of Stage6
If you have some videos that have been on your private web sites, please let me know how they are working.
If you have videos that used to run on private web sites or are new to your private web sites and if you have uploaded them in STAGE6 as well, it would be great if you can contribute your experiences.
My videos stopped working with any consistency after Divx Web Player 1.3x came out, that are on my web site. They do run on the STAGE6 with the beta of Divx Web Player, but are incredibly inconsistent when run from my web site. Like I mentioned, this includes videos that I have on my web site and worked great with Web Player 1.0. They are a mess currently with the Web Players from 1.3x, on.
Thanks,
Jon

I just installed a beta that I found somewhere on the site and it works much better than the official release. I have only had it a day, so I haven't fully tested it.
