add codecs?
Hi,
I havent seen any mechanism for adding codecs. If I must convert my existing divx's to run on divx mobile, why dont I just convert them to ipod format and run them natively through real player (N95)?
It seems a waste of time installing this app if I still have to convert files.
Any word on future direction?

You can download videos from the Take-Out channel on Stage6 that are already sized for the DivX Mobile profile. No conversion is necessary.
Why convert to DivX? There is a large ecosystem built around the DivX profiles. DivX players are available for Windows XP, Mac OS X, Linux, Palm Garnet OS, Windows Mobile and Symbian. You can also play your files on DivX certified DVD players, portable players, digital picture frames and automotive decks. Furthermore, there are a wide array of software tools and web browser plug-ins that are compatible with DivX files.
There are alternatives, but we think DivX is the best choice.
I know this is an old thread. I have been downloading movies from stage6 and copying them to my sd card and playing them in mobile divx v88 without any conversion. Mobile device Samsung BlackJack Windows Mobile 5.
