DivX Labs Regenerated

Temptatio

On June 05, 2003, Gej brought DivX Labs to life for the first time creating a community for media technology enthusiasts that came together to share ideas, opinions and observations about DivX software and technology. Since then, many betas have been released and bugs fixed, many experiments have been conducted and friends gained but, more profoundly, a community has grown and flourished.

As you no doubt know by now (unless this is your first visit), DivX Labs is the place where DivX releases beta versions of our software products so adventurous users like yourself can test, break, and help develop DivX software. We couldn’t be happier with the level of engagement we’ve garnered from you, our Labs community. With that in mind, we recently updated DivX Labs to improve usability, performance and, for lack of a more specific term, to clean up some of the clutter which has built up over the last year.

In the interest of giving credit where it’s due, I should also mention that DivX Labs is built on the open source CMS called Drupal.

On a more personal note, one of my goals for DivX Labs is to actively encourage DivX users of all levels to engage this community, to provide their own contributions and insights concerning video technology, other video-related open source applications and the DivX Labs site platform itself.

With all that in mind, I’d like to welcome you back to the next DivX Labs,
SeaBass
