DivX Mobile Player Compatibility
OfflineDivX Mobile Player will attempt to play any size video at any bitrate on any device. However, the performance will be limited based on the speed of the processor. DMP will drop video frames as needed during playback which means not all devices will achieve 30 fps for all bitrates.
Typically we recommend to encode videos at 24-30 fps, 320x240 resolution, 300 kbps video and 128 kbps stereo audio. Most devices with a 200 Mhz processor (or faster) will play those videos well and it's a reasonable trade off between file size and video quality.
DivX Mobile Player is available for the following:

The DivX Mobile Player is fantastic! The only thing worse than the video player that Nokia supplies with the N73 are the (very few) other offerings out there. Most of these simply don't work at all, and the Nokia player will often play files on the PC, but then not play the same files on the phone :-( The N73 only supports 2Gig of memory, but with the DivX player, I can now watch my DVDs on the bus. Thanks heaps DivX!

The DivX Pro encoder is faster and offers higher quality than the free DivX Community codec. If you plan to do many conversions, the Pro version may be worth the nominal cost.
Is your divx mobile player compatible with the Touch pro II? My operating system is Windows Mobile 6.1. Also if it is compatible how do you properly open a file so my phone can read it? I attempted to download the divx mobile player directly to my phone using it's internet browser. It downloaded the file, but when I attmepted to open the file it would not open the file. How should I go about downloading and installing the file on my phone? Thank you.

Have you been able to install any other applications on your phone? Is DivX Mobile Player the only application you cannot install? What error message do you see?
You can either use the installer with ActiveSync on your PC or you can copy the CAB file to your device and open it with File Explorer.

The Samsung Omnia i900 is DivX Mobile certified and will play DivX Mobile videos out-of-the-box. There is no need to install DivX Mobile Player. The Samsung Touch Player and Windows Media Player on the i900 should play DivX Mobile videos.
If you have a video that won't play, try using DivX Converter on the "Mobile" setting to ensure your video is compatible with the i900.
I have just tried to install the appropriate DMP on my new N97, despite the fact that the phone gave a message "incompatible". I resumed installing. A few seconds later, the installation failed.
N97 has Symbian S60 version 5, the program is for S60/version 3; soo that might be the problem.
I'll be looking forward for any help or firmware or a new release of DMP from divx, cause thats my favourite video file type.
Curently, N97 has pre-installed Real Player in itself. Maybe I will search for a video converter to convert from divx-xvid TO rm, so far to watch videos during long trips..

The Samsung i8910 HD Omnia is a DivX certified phone. You don't need to install any software. The i8910 already plays DivX videos right out of the box.
I already installed Divx Mobile player onto my phone...

i have installed 0.89 version on my N73. The problem is that when i play an AVI file there is no sound.
You can use GSpot to see what codecs are used in your file

Make sure the sound in the AVI file is MP3 audio at less than 128 kbps. Use DivX Converter to ensure compatibility.
The sound is Mp3 and bit rate = 128 kbps but still the same issue. Also tried it on N91 but same.

Hi, i have a nokia E65 and i want to download divx. Every time i try to download a different version it says not supported but i know somebody who has it in this phone!can somebody tell me what to do?
The Nokia E65 is Symbian S60 3rd edition. Here's the version of DivX Mobile Player you need: http://mobile.divx.com/divx/s60-3/DivXPlayer.sisx
I haven't tested the E65, but it should work. If you have problems, let me know what they are.

I have a Nokia n73 and I have the same problem. When trying to install the app I get the same error message about the expired certificate.

Do you supposedly do in-house tesing on a sony ericson w850i and then say you do not support them???

All I can say is that there is currently no version of the DivX Mobile Player for the Nokia 6300.

Copy the .sis file to your phone and then open it from the file browser. Your phone will recognize it as an installation file and lead you through the process.

Write to Sony Ericsson and tell them you only buy DivX Certified phones. :)

The Nokia 6300 is a "Series 40" phone and there is no version of DivX Mobile Player available for it.
