I have a video camera JVC GZ-7 full HD. This camera has a harddisk and the files written in .tod-files. When I play these files directly to my Full hd television (Aurea Phillips)then its full Hd and beautifull. When I record those with my HD recorder with i-link I have worse video. Also when I burn them on a dvd via my computer. Who knows its the best file to write my .tod-files into the full HD quality. (the .tod-file does not match with all of DivX)

You could try this with a test file.

Copy the file from your camcorder to your hard drive and then rename the extension from .tod to .mpg. Now try using Dr. DivX to encode the file into the DivX 1080 HD Profile. This may or may not work, but worth giving a try.

You can download Dr. DivX for free from here:

Let us know what program you are trying to capture the footage in. Are using iMovieHD or are you a PC, etc..?

Most likely you will have to adjust the project in whatever software you are capturing to math that of the camcorder. So if your camera shoots in 1080 make the project also 1080.
