OpenGL issue still happening

Hi guys..

Something is really bugging me.. am I the only one facing this problem?.. Multi Sampling is disabled on my DivX Connected..

I believe it's linked to my other problem which i've mentioned on here before.. (When Divx connected program starts.. it tells me that my Graphics card does not support Open-GL, download latest drivers) well I've definitely got the latest drivers installed i'm fully up to date.. i've also just upgraded my card from the 7800GT to a 8800GTS, surely this card is more than capable of running Multi Sampling??

It was mentioned that the issue of detecting OpenGL goodness would be fixed in the 1.1 release.. well mine still has this issue.. does anyone else here have this problem..

was also wondering if anyone on here has a GeForce 8800GTS card on their system and got the multi sampling enabled on their interface.

I'm just running the standard windows xp home edition.. have got the latest drivers.. latest connected software.. I have tried everything to get this working.. I'd also sent a DivX Diagnostics to the guys on here.. and that was months ago.. i've yet to be offered a solution.. I'm very disappointed that I can't get the best out of what my system has to offer..

Can you give us more info on your system?

In a typical system we would expect multi-sampling to work with your graphics card.

Have you tried with this latest server release?

What OS are you using? XP, Vista32, Vista64?

Are you trying to run it using an OS emulator such as VMware?

Are there any OpenGL settings for your driver that may be causing this?

Thanks.. you were right..

I thought that when I had exited and quit Divx connected program It had fully stopped.. I never thought to check the Proccess tab in the task manger.. is was still running in the background..

Thanks again, I've got it all back now.. it's a good little tip to know about.. thanks for all your help..

pitty it didn't fix my Open GL issue.. in the online demos i've seen the menu interface looks so much slicker with multi sampling enabled..

It would not let you replace

It would not let you replace the new sldbt.dat file because you msut have had ConnectedService.exe running, pres CTRL-ALT-DELETE and in the Task Manger, go to the Proccess tab, and shutdown DivXConnected.exe and DivXConnectedService.exe and then replace the database file and run Connected again.

Just an update on my

Just an update on my progress.. a clean install failed to fix my Open-GL issue.. so still no Multi Sampling on my menu interface.. also lost all my metadata tags.. :-( all my hard work gone.. I followed those instructions and copied the sldb.dat file but I couldn't import back to the new install-folder as it would not let me replace the new sldb.dat file.

Just did a quick test...

I just did a quick test to make sure what I'm going to say is right. Yes, indeed, the file stores all of that info also, so yes, it does backup that information....

What I would try.

What I would try is a clean install of DivX Connected software. It has helped me solve some problems I was expierencing in the past. If you do not want to re add all your files, you can backup your database, here's how:

Still no help for my Open GL issue..

Still no help for my Open GL issue.. am I the only one with this problem.. does everyone have their multi sampling enabled in their Divx Connected?
