I dont know about any one else, but i have not always been pleased with the subtitle output by the Dr. DivX 2.0 program, nor that of the Author. When converting VOB's to DivX with the doc, there is the odd time that the subtitles are missing entire paragraphs. Author doers not suffer from this problem, but the subtitles are displayed almost in the exact center of the video, instead of near the bottom of the video.
It would be great if there was a tool that would allow for some XSUB tweaking and editing, or even extracting vobsubs and converting other formats to XSUB. Perhaps having a preview window so sub placement can be customized, and built in muxing to remux the subs into the .divx container. Having it built directly into the doc or Author (especially Author!!!) would be even better, how ever, we need a tool for XSUBs.
Is there a utility that fits the bill? Is there plans for this utility? Is there a work-around?
