We have a feeling a lot of you have some really cool ideas for DivX Connected Plug-ins but were just waiting for the right incentive to get developing. Well, you don’t have to wait any longer. We’re hosting a DivX Connected Plug-in development contest where we ask developers to create plug-ins for the DivX Connected platform and compete for fame, bragging rights and some nifty prizes.
Everyone is invited to participate. All you need to get involved are some basic HTML and JavaScript skills and a little creativity.
You don’t even need a DivX Connected device to create plug-ins for the platform; you can simply download the free DivX Connected PC Client. The PC Client let’s you do pretty much everything you can do with a DivX Connected device, just on your PC, which makes developing a little easier anyway.
If you’d like to get involved, here’s what’s required:
The 1st prize winner or winners will each receive a DivX Connected HD Media Player from D-Link. The first 50 qualifying entrants will each receive a copy of DivX Pro for Windows or Mac and a DivX Connected T-Shirt (one per entrant).
You can read more about the contest details in the rules and policies document or send an email to Thisi if you have any questions.
Remember to submit your plug-ins no later than June 18, 2008 to be eligible for prizes.
Good luck and happy developing!
