DivX Converter 6.6.1 Beta 1

DivX Converter 6.6.1 Beta 1

DivX Converter has been updated to support the latest versions of QuickTime and also to better handle multilingual audio and subtitle tracks. Read on for details and access to the download!

Support for QuickTime 7.4

Users who installed QuickTime 7.4 or later alongside DivX Converter 6.6 may have experienced application failures in modules m1u1x17334.ddc, mtw178.ddc, or ntdll.dll when converting QuickTime sources. DivX Converter 6.6.1 Beta 1 addresses these problems and is compatible with the latest version of QuickTime.

Improved support for multilingual sources

When working with certain sources containing multilingual audio and subtitle tracks, DivX Converter 6.6 sometimes output only the English language tracks even when alternative versions had been selected. DivX Converter 6.6.1 Beta 1 includes updates that allow the correct tracks to be output.

Downloading DivX Converter 6.6.1 Beta 1:

DivX Converter is part of the DivX for Windows package and this beta can be installed on top of any prior version of DivX 6 to update it. If you are a registered user of DivX 6, your registration will be retained if you choose to try this beta or if you choose to re-install the last official release of DivX for Windows.

Important: While using this beta software the built-in update system may inform you that a new version is available and prompt you to update. Please ignore this prompt while using the beta, otherwise you will be downgraded to the last official version of DivX Converter.

Dual Core Enabled

I couldn't help notice that full dual core support has been enabled with this beta. I have not experienced any problems with encoding large vob files. I have noticed a considerable improvement in speed with this version of converter.

This is the beta I have been waiting for.

Is the link broken? I can't

Is the link broken? I can't seem to download the application. I tried everything, I changed my firewall options but nothing. Have any of you experience this? Maybe something is terribly wrong over at my end...

Divxmux or Divx codecs problem after Muxing subtitle Srt

My original files were OK to play on Divx player, Mediaplayer or other capable players, after Muxing subtitle with DivxMux, all files now can only play in Divx player, and crashing in the other players.
Please address this problem.

Not working well.

The Player and Web Player betas are working very well. I'v not noticed any issues. However, using the Converter to convert a downloaded Quicktime Movie Trailer was no dice. "DivX Converter Application Has Stopped Working".

Issss Niceeee,,,,,,,,,

The smooth fast-forward and reverse are a vast improvement over the jerky "Now..... nope, keep goinggg,,,,,Now! Nope...." seek controls of the past, and customizing the default renderer is sweet! The player performs much smoother during playback as well, consuming an average 8% CPU load on my Mobile Intel Core2Duo 2Ghz. Now all I need is a force aspect ratio on player start-up (like the one that works with Windows Media Player under the DivX decoder config!), chapter skip support so we can include chapter tags in .divx files that have no menu and it would be perfect! Next test.... Play lists. I had problems with playlists with previous builds. After playing through about 5 videos in the playlist, the player would crash attempting to load the next video. Hopefully with this beta, that will be fixed!

OOPPS! Wrong thread!

Is it possible to transfer this to the 6.8.1 beta Player thread? Oh, and the playlist seems to function much better now, also noticed the Connected Playlist Test, gonna have to try it out!
