Mac server broadcaster use

I am new to Divx but really like the encoding and quality. I am looking for a way to stream Divx files in broadcaster playlist on my Mac streaming server. Will broadcaster accept divx format? I know final cut pro and IMovie allow sharing as Divx, and QuickTime Pro Player will play Divx format. Is there another jukebox playlist application that works like VLC or Broadcaster playlist that is more compatibale with Divx. I am streaming content to a Cable Company mac computer which is connected to the cable company modulator and airing at 640X480.
